Copies of the book Brickle, Nish, and Knobbly: A Newfoundland Treasury of Terms for Ice and Snow, an adaptation of the video-poem published by Boulder Publications, will be available.

I hope this book and the video-poem can help keep some of these wonderful terms active. They’re precise, practical, evocative, sonic, and lyrical. Knowing them helps us actually see different phenomena, instead of winter being just a cold, white blur.”  – Marlene Creates

This documentary video-poem has been screened in Austria, Canada, India, the UK, and the USA, and has won several awards, including the Grand Jury Award at the 2014 Yosemite International Film Festival.
On June 15, it will be screened at Canada House, Trafalgar Square, London, England.
