PCSP Lions Club Speak Out Contest
The PCSP Lions Club is now seeking participants for a Speak Out Contest, in which participants will deliver a short speech and then be asked several questions based upon their talk. This contest is open to all level 1, 2 or 3 students who are residents of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s. The date for competition is not yet set, but will be on or before March 15th, 2020. At least 3 speakers are required for this event to go ahead and there will be a cash prizes for the top 3 winners.
The overall winner will advance to the region level Speak Out Contest on March 29, 2020. The Region level includes all lions clubs on the Avalon, which will be around 5 to 7 speakers. After regional, the next level is District and includes all clubs Gander & East. The final level is the multiple district, which includes a speaker from each Atlantic Province.
