Update: August 16th: The Provincial Fire Ban is being lifted as of midnight.

Open air fires require a permit from forestry at Paddy’s Pond, along with the town permit.

Fire Advisory for Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s

With the forecast for the next few days showing rain, the Provincial Fire Ban is being lifted as of midnight Tuesday, August 16, 2022.

PCSP residents can again enjoy backyard fire places, etc.  For any other open air fires, a permit from Paddy’s Pond District Office Forest Management at  220 Paddy’s Pond Road, along with the town permit is still required.

The PCSP Volunteer Fire Department shall continue to monitor the forestry fire hazard rating on a daily basis and will update residents when something changes.
