Water System Update: Post-Servicing Flushing Underway
Update: July 25th, 2025
Following the necessary water infrastructure work completed yesterday on Thursday July 24th, Town staff are actively working in various areas to flush the water lines and remove any remaining air from the system.
We understand that some residents may still be experiencing cloudy water or intermittent air in their lines. This is a normal part of the process and is expected to improve as flushing continues. Due to the large area affected, it may take some time for the system to fully stabilize.
In the meantime, we recommend that residents run their indoor and/or outdoor taps at their discretion, to help clear any residual air from their individual household lines. While the water may appear cloudy, we want to reassure residents that it remains safe for use.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as our crews work diligently to restore full system clarity, your cooperation helps expedite the process for everyone.

Thank you to all residents for your patience and understanding as we complete today’s important water infrastructure improvement. Please note that the project is taking a little longer than expected and is now anticipated to be completed by 7:00 p.m. this evening, one hour later than originally scheduled. Crews are making great progress and are working diligently to ensure everything is completed safely and thoroughly.
We appreciate your continued cooperation as we work to improve and strengthen our town’s water systems. Thank you for bearing with us, we’re almost there! When water service resumes, you may notice some air in the lines or discolouration. This is normal. Please run your cold water tap until the water runs clear.
