Students Welcomed for Municipal Awareness Day
Today we welcomed the grade 4 students from Beachy Cove Elementary to visit the Town Hall for Municipal Awareness Day.

The students visited Council Chambers, the Town Library, the Fire Hall, and they got to try out many of the vehicles in our Public Works fleet – they loved getting to try honking all the horns!
Over the past few weeks, the students have been learning about municipal governments in their classrooms. With the help of the awesome Beachy Cove teachers, the Town taught the students about elections and the students even elected their own councillors and mayor to represent the grade 4s. These new junior councillors and mayor will join us tonight in Council Chambers for a special council meeting.
