PCSP Regatta Day Postponed to July 9th, 2017
Who: The Town of Portugal Cove – St. Philip’s
What: Regatta Festival 2017 Race Day
Where: St. Philip’s Marina, PCSP
When: Moved from July 8th to July 9th
Why: Due to the scheduled rain and wind for Saturday, July 8th, the PCSP Regatta has been moved to Sunday, July 9th. All events will still begin at 12 p.m.
The boat launch at the marina will be closed on Sunday July 9th, but opened on Saturday July 8th.
About the PCSP Regatta
Newfoundlanders and Labradoreans have been using dory boats as a way of life for over a hundred years. These traditional dory races have been a part of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s (St. Philip’s before amalgamation in 1992) Regatta for over 35 years. Over time it has grown into a great family event to include live music, games of chance, food concessions, face painting, bouncy castles and much more.
