PCSP Adventures Board Game Now Available
Town Creates Board Game to Fundraise for Local Schools

Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s, NL – An exciting new local board game called “PCSP Adventures” has been created by the Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s as a fundraiser in support of the community’s schools. The board game is designed for players to move through a map which looks like Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s, including local sites and attractions, with fun challenges and activities along the way.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, fundraising is a challenge for all schools this year, so the Town created the game to support initiatives for our local students. Games are now available for pre-order, and every dollar raised will be donated to the schools servicing PCSP students: Beachy Cove Elementary, Brookside Intermediate, and Prince of Wales Collegiate. In addition to funds raised from the sale of games, over 20 businesses throughout the town came on board to sponsor game board spaces for the price of $100 each, which raised over $2000 for the schools before the print game sales even began!

To purchase a game, pre-order through eServices. The game is just $5.00 and it includes everything you need to play:

  • 1 Game Board
  • 1 Die
  • 4 Game pieces
  • 1 Package of Smarties (as game coins)

Pick up of games will be arranged via staff at the Town Hall towards the end of October. Further details and a preview of the game can be seen by watching our new promo video on Facebook, here: https://pcsp.ca/article/pcsp-adventures-board-game-launch/
