Over 600 Youth to Compete at Killick Coast Games
Regional Sports Event Begins Sunday in Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s

Who: Hosted by the Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s
What: Killick Coast Games Opening Ceremonies
Where: Rainbow Gully Park, Rainbow Gully Road, Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s
When: Sunday, July 21st at 6:00pm (weather permitting)

This year, Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s is the host community for the Killick Coast Games, which runs throughout the week of Sunday, July 21st to Thursday, July 25th at Rainbow Gully Park and Brookside Intermediate School.

The Killick Coast Games take place every summer to inspire fun and friendly competition. The six towns that are represented by the Killick Coast are Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s, Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove, Torbay, Bauline, Flat Rock and Pouch Cove. Within this collection of communities known as the Killick Coast, these games give an opportunity for young people to play competitive sport, meet new friends, and enjoy the positive experience of the games. Sports include ball hockey, softball, basketball, soccer and cross country running.
