Media Alert: Town of PCSP Welcomes Back Athletes of 2017 Canada Games

 

Who:   The Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s Council and Special Guest, MHA David Brazil.

What: Welcoming back the PCSP athletes from the 2017 Canada Games.

Where: PCSP Town Hall, 1119 Thorburn Road.

When: August 15th, 2017 at 5 p.m.

Why:   Nine athletes from our community were among the Newfoundland and Labrador provincial teams competing in Winnipeg last week. The Town Council with MHA David Brazil will be presenting them with a certificate of appreciation and congratulating them on their successes and participation in the Canada Games.

 

About the Canada Games

The Canada Games are this country’s largest multi-sport event for young athletes and in 2017 the Games celebrated their 50th anniversary and acknowledged Canada’s 150th birthday.
