Draft Budget Session: Thursday, December 11th 2025
On Thursday, December 11, at 7:00 p.m., the Corporate Services Council Chairperson, Deputy Mayor Kim Churchill, will present the Town Council’s Draft 2026 Budget in a public forum to be held in Council Chambers at 1119 Thorburn Road. Members of the public will also have the option to attend the presentation virtually via Zoom at the following meeting ID link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83378401222.
At this meeting, residents may request permission to address Council regarding matters related to the draft budget. Council, Deputy Mayor, and CAO will make every effort to respond to inquiries during the session; however, where a question cannot be fully addressed during the meeting, Council will record it and ensure it is reviewed as part of the budget-finalization process.
Deputy Mayor Churchill shall ensure that comments:
- Address issues, not persons
- Avoid confrontation or argument
- Respect others wanting to speak and keep comments short with a time limit five (5) minutes
- Are grouped together if multiple questions relate to the same topic, with responses directed to a designated spokesperson.
Council will also accept written comments on the Draft 2026 Budget until Monday, December 15 at 9:00 a.m. Written submissions may be sent to [email protected].
The final 2026 Budget will be adopted on Wednesday, December 17, at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, with the same Zoom link available for virtual participation.
