Calling all students at Beachy Cove Elementary, and Brookside Intermediate! Design a poster to tell our community about environmental effects, and you could win!
You could have your poster turned into a permanent sign in our community!
About the Contest
The contest aims at educating all residents on the environmental effects of litter, climate change, and the importance of the natural environment around us. We love our community and want everyone to help keep it clean and beautiful.
How to Submit
Submission must be the students original artwork and/or slogans. Submission deadline is Friday, October 25th 2024 at 4:30 pm. Please submit work to the school office for Town staff to pick up. Include your full name and grade on the front bottom right of the artwork. Submissions must include a phone number and/or email for the students parent/guardian, seperate from artwork.
Prizes
Four posters (two from each school) will be selected to be made into large signs and installed around our community. Winners will have their sign made, receive a framed print, a gift card, and have a photo opportunity with the Mayor when their sign is installed. A group of judges will be selected by Town staff which will be a include artists and environmentalists.
Contest Rules
Open to students all in Beachy Cove Elementary, and Brookside Intermediate! Limit 1 entry per student. Size requirement: 8″ x 10″ paper Drawing only – do not add glue, glitter, attachments, etc., as it must be able to be scanned and enlarged. Any medium is accepted (paint, crayon, marker, pen, coloured pencils, etc.) All entries become property of the Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s, and will not be returned unless one of the four winners.
