Canada Day & Regatta Festival Thank You
Thank you to everyone who attended and assisted with the PCSP Regatta & Canada Day Festival 2018. We couldn’t have done it without you!
What a whirlwind week! From the start of the week, right up until the finish, the events were excellent – because of you. We are extremely thankful to have community volunteers and organizations that provide an extra set of helping hands in Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s. From running the BBQ, to helping at the Dory Dash race, to coordinating card games, and everything in between – every effort made a huge difference. We are so lucky to have so many wonderful volunteers that we can always count on!
The Fire Department played a major role throughout the week, and we would like to send a special thank you to each member for their support with hosting the festival. This team helped with the open house, safety boat, Canada Day, regatta station for children, and so much more. The town is grateful to the firework technician and the others members who volunteered their entire day to set up the fireworks and provide a world class show for residents – thank you. We know you all give up hours of your personal time above and beyond fire calls to help with the community. Check out the Canada Day fireworks video here!
