Water Interruption Notice – June 6

Time: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Area: From the intersection of Portugal Cove Road and Anglican Cemetery Road to end of Beachy Cove Road, including all by-roads.

Due to repairs to the Town’s water system, water services will be temporarily shut down in the area identified.

Prior to shut down, the following is recommended:

  • Residents are advised to run off water prior to this time for use during the shut down.
  • It is recommended that electrical service to hot water boilers be shut down during the water outage. This can normally be accomplished by shutting off the electrical breaker in the electrical panel.

Following service resumption, the following is recommended:

  • Residents should run the cold water tap until water is clear and free from air in the line.
  • If the hot water boiler was disconnected, prior to returning electrical service run the hot water tap until all air is removed from the line. Then reestablish electrical service.

Residents with questions or concerns can contact the Public Works Department at 895-8000 ext. 228 during business hours (8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.). After hours, please call 895-8000.

The town apologizes for any inconvenience this water disruption may cause the affected residents.
