Vaccine Passports at Town Facilities and Functions
Starting October 22, 2021, the Vaccine Passport system will be used to verify a person’s COVID-19 vaccination status before accessing certain Town facilities and/or Town functions. This is following a direct mandate from the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, in order to protect residents and help us live safely with COVID-19, while still allowing activities and events to take place.
Proof of vaccination will be required for all individuals over 12 years of age at the following locations:
- Recreation Centre (all activities and rentals)
- Town Hall (public and special meetings)
- Library (programs and events)
- Indoor facilities at Voiseys Brook and Rainbow Gully Parks (all activities and rentals)
- Any indoor facility the Town is utilizing for an event/program (i.e church, Legion, any other community space)
It will not be required for:
- General visitors to the Library
- General visitors to the Town Hall
- Outdoor events and activities

What is required for Proof of Vaccination/Medical Exemption?
- Proof of vaccination (QR code from NLVaxPass App, paper copy, card)
- In addition you must present either one photo ID or two pieces of plain ID—both need to have your name and at least one needs to have your date of birth.
- Proof of medical exemption (QR Code from NLVaxPass App, paper copy, card)
- In addition you must present either one photo ID or two pieces of plain ID—both need to have your name and at least one needs to have your date of birth.
