Town Hall and Facilities Closed for Morning of Friday, February 14th, 2025
Residents are advised that due to current weather conditions, Town Hall and facilities will be closed for the morning of Friday, February 14th and will be re-opening at 11:00 am. Pickleball scheduled for today has been cancelled, Recreation Coordinators will be reaching out to participants, as well garbage collection is proceeding as scheduled with recycling collection postponed to Monday, February 17th.
In the event of deteriorating conditions, we would like to remind residents of the following:
❄️ When you see snow clearing crews on the streets, please keep a safe distance.
❄️ When snow clearing, wear warm reflective clothing so snow clearing crews and residents can see you.
❄️ Don’t play in snow banks near roadways and driveways.
❄️ Please be patient and courteous with our snow clearing crews as they work to keep roads open; an initial clearing is conducted to open roads to keep roads accessible for emergency crews.
❄️ We recommend to have a home emergency kit and supplies, including food, water, pet food, prescriptions, flashlights, portable radio, and extra batteries. Supplies should be prepared to last at least 72 hours.
Town staff are actively monitoring the forecast and weather conditions, with crews scheduled to respond.

- Have a basic home emergency kit and supplies, including food (and pet food), drinking water, prescriptions, first aid kit, battery-powered flashlights, and portable radio.
- Use flashlights, rather than candles and have a good supply of batteries; if you use candles, don’t leave them unattended.
- For those who are on well water, please prepare by filling your bathtubs with water for household use, such as flushing toilets, in case of power outage. Please ensure you have extra drinking water on hand as well.
- Secure any outside items that are a potential hazard in high wind such as patio furniture, BBQs, children’s play structures, garbage bins, etc.
- Charge mobile devices in case of extended power outage.
- Know where your household fire extinguisher, water shut off valve, and electrical panel box are all located.
- Test your smoke alarms to ensure they are working properly.
- Stay up-to-date by monitoring forecast information and local news.
