The Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s Offers Condolences on Humboldt Broncos Tragedy

Flags have been lowered to half-mast at the Town Hall in Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s as a way to acknowledge those impacted by the tragic bus accident involving the Humboldt Broncos hockey team in Saskatchewan.

Mayor Carol McDonald has released the following statement to honour the Humboldt community: “From one community to another, our hearts go out to those impacted by this tragic accident. On behalf of the Town, I extend my deepest condolences to teammates, family, and friends of the Humboldt Broncos. We are deeply saddened to hear of this tragedy and we have lowered the flags to offer our sympathy in this time of loss.”

The flags will remain at half-mast until Friday, April 13th, 2018.
