Temporary Water Outage Scheduled for Neary’s Pond Road
The Town of Portugal Cove–St. Philip’s advises residents of an upcoming water outage required to facilitate the installation of equipment for a future development in the area. This planned outage is necessary to support continued growth while ensuring safe and reliable infrastructure for our community.

Start: Approximately 9:00 a.m.

Estimated Restoration: 1:00 p.m.

Location: Residents on Neary’s Pond Road who are connected to Municipal Water, after the Franklyn Place intersection.
During the installation period, residents can expect traffic delays on Neary’s Pond Road, and at times, brief closures to local traffic only. Signage and personnel will be on-site to help guide drivers safely through the area.
Residents in the affected area are encouraged to take the following steps to be ready for the temporary disruption:

Have bottled water available for drinking and cooking.

Fill bathtubs or containers with water for flushing toilets and general household use.

After service resumes, you may experience air in the lines or temporary water discolouration. This is normal.

Please run your cold water tap until the water runs clear.
