Public Hearing for Municipal Plan Amendment No.14

PUBLIC HEARING
TOWN OF PORTUGAL COVE-ST. PHILIP’S MUNICIPAL PLAN AMENDMENT No. 14, 2022
AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS AMENDMENT No. 23, 2022

The Town Council of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s has adopted Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s Municipal Plan Amendment No. 14, 2022 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 23, 2022

A Public Hearing to consider objections and representations on the Municipal Plan Amendment or Development Regulations Amendment will be held on the Wednesday March 29, 2023 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Murray’s Pond Fishing and Country Club, 1476 Portugal Cove Road, Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s.

In general terms, the purpose of Amendment No. 14, 2022 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 23, 2022 are to update Schedule E-Environmental Protection Overlay and Map 3-Environmental Protection Map to reflect new, more accurate data for defining the boundaries of environmentally sensitive areas; and to bring these into compliance with the Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000.

Anyone wishing to make an objection or representation at the Public Hearing shall, at least 2 days before the date set for the Public Hearing, deposit with the Town Clerk of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s, two copies of a signed written statement outlining the objection or representation. If no written objection or representation with respect to the Municipal Plan Amendment or Development Regulations Amendment is received within the time indicated, the Public Hearing may be cancelled.

The Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s Municipal Plan Amendment and Development Regulations Amendment may be inspected during normal business hours at the Town Office or the public can find electronic copies on the Town’s Website at: http://pcsp.ca/services/building-development -services/
