Public Consultation and Resident Survey Now Open: Help Shape the Future of a Potential Civic Centre in PCSP
As part of the Town of Portugal Cove–St. Philip’s 2023–2028 Strategic Plan, pre-feasibility work is currently underway for a proposed Civic Centre. This project was identified as a key priority by residents during the strategic planning process and through recent budget consultations, highlighting the growing need for increased, multi-use indoor spaces that serve all ages, abilities, and interests in our community.
To ensure this project reflects the true needs and priorities of residents, the Town is currently gathering public input through two key initiatives:
1. Resident Survey – Now Open
A short online survey is now available to collect your feedback on the features, services, and amenities you would like to see in a potential Civic Centre. Your input will help guide the early concept design and cost estimates. The survey takes approximately five minutes to complete, and all responses are confidential.

2. Public Consultation – Thursday, May 22
In addition to the survey, a Public Consultation Session will take place on Thursday, May 22nd at 7:00 PM at the PCSP Recreation Centre. This session will be hosted by Sierra Planning in collaboration with MJMA Architecture & Design, and will include presentations, discussion, and opportunities for residents to ask questions and provide feedback directly to the planning team.
Date: Thursday, May 22
Time: 7:00 PM
Location: PCSP Recreation Centre
This is one of the first steps in the Civic Centre planning process, and your feedback is essential. We encourage residents to attend the consultation and complete the survey to ensure your voice will help shape the vision for this potential new community hub.
