Now Hiring – Green Team 2023(Summer Youth Employment)
The Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s is seeking a Green Team Leader and Green Team Member for the summer of 2023!
This Green Team will focus on educating the community on the importance of minimizing negative impacts on local waterways through various activities. The Team will conduct and compile research to develop information packages as a means to engage with residents on solutions to waterway health in the area. In addition, this Team will be trained to conduct walking tours along public water ways to illustrate the impacts on local waterways as well as explain remediation activities that may be undertaken by the Town in the future. The team will also be responsible for other duties as required. All Teams will conduct a minimum of four Environmental Awareness Events and successful applicants will be required to participate in several training sessions, including Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S). Employees will be required to follow all OH&S regulations and policies of CCNL and the Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s.
