Director of Planning

The Town is seeking an enthusiastic, enterprising and experienced leader who is committed to team work and positive engagement with the community. If you are anxious to exercise your superior management skills and build an amenable relationship with residents, we want you to join our management team as Director of Planning.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Planning with significant leadership experience, preferably in a public service environment. A minimum of five (5) years successful and practical experience as a land use planner as well as eligibility for membership in the Atlantic Planners Institute and Canadian Institute of Planners is required. Municipal background is a clear asset.

The Town offers an attractive compensation package, including a pension plan and group insurance package.  This position is subject to the PCSP Non-Union Compensation Policy. We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
