New Recreation Programming for August 2022

There’s still lots of time to get outside and enjoy summer! Join us throughout August for a range of activities for all ages. Don’t forget, our PCSP Library is also open throughout the week with a range of programs and opportunities for library visitors.

All events requiring eServices registration open for registrants on Friday, August 5th at 9am.

• Orienteering Challenge (Course Level: Difficult)

  • Details: Have you tried our orienteering challenges throughout the year? We’ve stepped it up a notch for August and have created a more challenging orienteering course! Can you find all the signs in our most difficult orienteering course yet?

  August 8^th Pop Up Play Day

  • Details: Ice cream, lemonade, and outdoor fun!
  • Time: 10am to noon
  • Location: Summerwood Playground (Located on Summerwood Place, off Dogberry Hill Road Ext.)

• August 9^th Family Boccia

  • Details: Boccia is a very fun and east to learn game for individuals of all ages, and is adaptable to all abilities and fitness levels. All equipment will be provided. Families will have the opportunity to play for fun and compete in friendly games.

  • Location: Rec Centre

  • Cost: $5 per person.

  August 12^th Family Camp Out

  • When: Friday, August 12th at 7:00pm (weather permitting)
  • Location: Voisey’s Brook Soccer Field
  • Camping out on soccer field, have small bonfire at night, cook breakfast in the morning before they leave.
  • $10 per family.
