Motorists Asked to Exercise Caution During Back to School Week in PCSP

With school starting tomorrow, we kindly ask all residents and visitors to be especially cautious and patient during this first week. As we all know, this year back to school week will look a lot different than usual. With more students relying on being dropped off, we expect traffic delays around the school zones, especially on Beachy Cove Road. We advise motorists who are not dropping children off to school to use alternative routes if possible.

The Town has been in correspondence with both schools and will provide support as requested. In addition, we would like to remind residents about various construction zones around town that could also impact traffic this week, including: West Point Road, the Fire Hall in Portugal Cove, and Dogberry Hill Road (near the intersection with Dogberry Hill Road Extension).

We thank everyone for doing their part to making this a safe return to school for our children!
