Dog Tags
The Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s provides free tags to register all dogs in the town and we encourage all residents to avail of this service. Dog tags are also available at Beachy Cove Animal Hospital on Thorburn Road. Click here to fill out our online form to receive your free dog tag!
When dogs who are licensed become lost, there is a much higher success rate in reuniting them with their owners. When dogs are found with a registered tag, town staff are able to quickly look-up the registration information and contact the owner.
Missing Pets
The Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s will post any missing pets on the town’s official Missing Pets page. The Town also shares missing or found pets on our social media channels to help reunite them with their owners. Please visit the Town’s Facebook Page and Twitter Channel for the latest updates.
Please call the Public Works office at 709-895-8000 x 228 or email [email protected] if you have a missing pet you would like assistance with locating or if you find a missing domestic animal. If an animal is brought to Town Hall, a member of our Public Works team will bring the animal to Beachy Cove Animal Hospital for the owners to collect them.
