The The Town of Portugal Cove – St. Philip’s and Portugal Cove – St. Philip’s Volunteer Fire Department Annual Christmas Parade is a GO today! Happening today, Sunday, December 3rd at 2 pm, Santa and friends will be making their way down Portugal Cove Road. Don’t forget your letters to Santa, and a non-perishable food item for the local food banks

Our livestream will be available beginning at 2 pm on our Facebook page!In the interest of public safety related to the growing number of parade spectators each year, and with the permission of the Department of Transportation and Works, Portugal Cove Road (from Legion Road to the former Holy Rosary Church), will be closed on Sunday, December 3rd, 2023 from 1:30pm – 4:00 pm to allow for a safe parade route. There will be signage and traffic control staff identified throughout the route for the duration of the road closures in order to ensure the safety of all patrons. For further clarity to residents and ferry users, please see the map below outlining the exact location of the closure.
Drivers are asked to please use extra caution on the day of the parade, as a large number of families and young children are anticipated to be in attendance of the event.
