Public Notice of Blasting Schedule

Notice is hereby given that Angle Pond Holdings Inc. (the Developer), holder of a Town issued Subdivision Development Permit for the River Bend Residential Subdivision, will be conducting blasting operations at No. 946-948 and 950 St. Thomas Line (see attached map). The blasting operation shall be performed in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador and all other applicable laws. All blasts are controlled using blasting mats and small volumes.

Time Period:

August 17 to September 16, 2023

Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (weather permitting)

Details:

Access to the blasting area from St. Thomas Line will be controlled to prevent unauthorized entry prior to the blasting area. A warning signal, indicated by three (3) long blasts on an air horn, will be sounded prior to the blast and an all-clear signal indicated by an extra-long blast will be audible with a range of one-half kilometre from the point of the blast in accordance with applicable Provincial laws.

Please check the Town’s website and social media for updates on the time period or extensions. No further written notices will be mailed out.

A pre-blast survey has been completed. Any claims to damage from blasting activities or damaged occurred resulting from blasting activities to existing properties will be the sole responsibility of the Developer.
