PCSP Residents – Share your Thoughts on Electric Vehicles with this Survey!

The Town of Portugal Cove St. Philips is committed to being green and reducing our carbon emissions. As part of this effort, the Town is undertaking a pilot project to include EVs in the municipal fleet. The Town was awarded $364,300 from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) to undertake the pilot. This grant funding covers 80% of the total project cost.
Through this initiative, the Town has purchased 6 electric vehicles and installed 6 charging stations at a total cost to the Town of about $80,000. The 6 vehicles have replaced assets that were at the end of their lifecycle and the Town would have spent around $248,000 to replace them all with gas models.
Community engagement is an important aspect of this project. The purpose of this survey is to gather information related to residents’ current perspectives on electric vehicles.
