Dogberry Hill Road Upgrades Update: Finishing Touches Ahead

The contractor managing the Dogberry Hill Road paving and upgrades has provided an update. The majority of work is now complete, and we’re down to the final stage of this project, which will see the topcoat paving applied. As we all know, Newfoundland weather can be unpredictable! Persistent rain has caused delays, and the topcoat—unlike the base coat—requires dry weather for proper application. The paving schedule has been adjusted, materials will be shipped across the province tonight and the contractor anticipates Saturday or Sunday start for paving. Milling and prep work has already commenced on the roadway, with driveway tie-ins being completed within a day or two of surface placement. At time of update, the forecast is showing no rain until Wednesday, December 18th.

We understand these delays have been frustrating and appreciate your patience – we have been working very closely with all those involved to ensure the project is completed as soon as possible to avoid further disruptions to residents. Updates will be shared via our social media and website once work is confirmed to resume.
