Beginning on Monday, January 27th join us in the PCSP Library to celebrate ABC Literacy Day!
Family Literacy Day takes place every January 27th to raise awareness about the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family.
Taking time every day to read or do a learning activity with children is crucial to a child’s development, improving a child’s literacy skills dramatically, and can help a parent improve their skills as well.
Family Literacy Day 2025 Theme: Learn to be Green, Together
Make a pledge as a family to learn ways to be more green. Use less electricity, commute together, and reuse items. Being green together is a fun way to learn as a family while being kind to the environment. Take part in activities below, and send us your photos to win a Chapters/Indigo gift card!
Take part in activities all week long by joining us in the PCSP Library with these activities:
Monday, January 27th 10:00 am – 11:00 am: Make your very own pair of binoculars to explore our beautiful world with, and take home a seed ball kit! Limited quantities available.

Tuesday, January 28th 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Make and paint night! Make a pair of binoculars, and paint them with your own creative skills!
Thursday, January 30th, 10:30 am – 11:30 am: Join us for Storytime to listen to a story about our environment, and learn how to make a craft with recyclable materials!
