2nd Annual Jaunt for Jaxon to Take Place March 19th
On Saturday, March 19th, join in on the Jaunt for Jaxon in our community! Jaxon is a an incredibly strong young resident in Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s. He is a student at Beachy Cove Elementary who is bravely fighting a battle with leukemia. As he’s in the final phase of his treatment now, which is called “maintenance,” Jaxon is feeling much better and hopes to join back in more of his regular activities (including his favourite, hockey!) in the near future.
It has been an extremely difficult year for Jaxon and his family, and his supporters have organized the 2nd Annual Jaunt for Jaxon fundraiser. On March 19th, join in by sharing a photo of your walk, run or time outside with the hashtag #JauntForJaxon to show your support for Jaxon and all those fighting a battle with leukemia or lymphoma. The lights will be on at Voisey’s Brook Park during the evening for all those wishing to join in.
This year, the goal is to raise $1000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) to help people like Jaxon in the future. Learn more or make a donation by visiting the Facebook event page “2nd Annual Jaunt for Jaxon” or www.bloodcancers.ca
