All Veterans, Wreath Layers and Legion Members should arrive at the Legion at 10:30am. Masks must be worn and Vaccination Passes are required. The Legion regrets that we are unable to invite the Public at this time and we hope that next year finds us closer to normal so that we can all get together and celebrate.
Lest We Forget.
On Thursday, November 11th, 2021 there will be a Remembrance Day parade and memorial ceremony led by members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 10.
The parade will form at the St. Lawrence Anglican Church parking lot at 10:30am and then parade to the war memorial on Loop Drive for the memorial service at 11:00 am. Join us as we remember and honour all those who have served and who continue to serve. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend this special Remembrance Day parade and memorial ceremony.
Residents can expect some possible traffic delays in the area of Loop Drive and Portugal Cove Road (between St. Lawrence Anglican Church and Loop Drive) on Remembrance Day, November 11th, between 10:30am and 12:00pm.
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 public health measures, the Legion is unable to invite the Public back to the Legion after the ceremony. Only veterans and legion members are invited back to the Legion following the ceremony. Thank you to the Community for understanding and for your continued support. We hope to see you at the Parade.
Lest we forget.
Residents are also reminded that due to the holiday on Thursday, November 11th, Thursday’s garbage and recycling collection will be moved ahead to Monday, November 15th. Waste collection on Friday, November 12th will remain normal as scheduled.
