The PCSP Library will be open during the spring season from April 14 – June 18!
Drop in from Tuesday to Thursday to browse our shelves, and pick you next favourite read to enjoy on a snowy day. Every Wednesday night, our Recreation Coordinator Mike will have an activity for families to come and try! Join us in the library beginning 5:00 pm for a fun science or art craft!
The Library entrance is located at the back entrance of the Town Hall, located at 1119 Thorburn Road. This entrance is also shared with Planning and Development.

Storytime in the Library
Join us weekly at Storytime for a new theme, craft time, and reading with friends! Each week we will focus on participants creativity, movement and having fun with peers.
Registration for PCSP residents is now open via eServices, drop-ins are also welcome on a first come, first serve basis!

Family History Club
The Family History Club meets monthly in the PCSP Library to discover and share heritage resources.
Using archive information, book resources, and online tools, the group researches information pertaining to their family history and how to develop a family tree. Access to Ancestry Library Edition is also provided to all members to use while they are at club meetings.
Support is provided by staff liaison, Julie Pomeroy, who works as the Town’s Heritage and Environment Coordinator. Members have the option to work both individually or as a group.

Community Garden
The Community Garden is a shared garden space for residents of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s and it is located on 1119 Thorburn road, behind Town Hall. The community garden is made up of 20 beds plus 4 accessible beds for registrants, with availability to rent each year for the growing season for a small fee.
2025 Community Garden Bed Rental Information
A limited number of Community Garden beds are available to rent for the summer 2025 season. The rental fee for the 2025 year is $10. Rentals are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Commemorative Program
The idea of peaceful natural areas, as we have many in our community, often help people cope with the pace of modern life and with sifficult times. The Town offers a Memorial Bench and Celebration Tree Program dedicated to the memory of a departed loved on or friend.
The Commemorative Program includes opportunities to donate a Memorial Bench or Celebration Tree. Further details and costing are outlined on the document linked below.
