It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and we’re excited to celebrate the holiday season with our community!

The Town of Portugal Cove–St. Philip’s invites residents and visitors to join us for a festive lineup of Christmas events taking place from November 29 to December 17, 2026.

From the excitement of our annual Santa Claus Parade and the magic of our Community Tree Lighting Ceremony to Breakfast with Santa, seasonal workshops, and special activities for seniors, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Gather your family and friends, embrace the holiday spirit, and make lasting memories as we celebrate this special time of year together.

Christmas Events Schedule

Explore our upcoming events and find all the information you need to plan your holiday celebrations.

• Santa Claus Parade: Celebrate the season as Santa makes his way through our community on Sunday, December 6th. This is a weather dependent event!
• Community Tree Lighting Ceremony: Join us as we illuminate our community Christmas tree and welcome the holiday season on Tuesday, December 1st.
• Breakfast with Santa: Enjoy a festive breakfast with PCSP council. Two time slots are available (i) 9:00 am – 10:00 am
• (ii) 10:30 am – 11:30 am.
• Seniors Bus Tour: Take in the beautiful Christmas lights and decorated boats in Port-de-Grave and surrounding areas, on Thursday December 17th.
• Floral Centrepiece Workshop: Get creative and make a beautiful seasonal arrangement to take home with Karen Hapgood of Karen’s Floral Designz! Workshop takes place on Tuesday, December 15th.

Please note that some events require advance registration, and spaces may be limited. In addition, some of our events are weather dependent.
