Regatta Day Going Ahead, July 1

We are thrilled to officially announce that Regatta Day is moving ahead today as planned. Join us at the St. Philip’s Marina from 11:30 am to 5:00 pm for a fantastic sunny afternoon of community celebrations.

What to Expect

Come out and enjoy a full schedule of events, including:

  • Traditional dory races and plenty of music.
  • Local vendors with great eats and refreshing beverages.
  • Family-friendly fun, including bouncy castles, face painting, balloon twisting, and classic carnival games with great prizes.

Meteorologist Eddie Sheerr will also be on-site, broadcasting live from the Marina. Don’t forget to check the Sheerr Weather app for the absolute latest local updates before you head out the door.

Fireworks and Fire Hazard Update

We know the community is eagerly anticipating the Canada Day fireworks. We are closely monitoring conditions and will share an official update regarding the fireworks at approximately 2:00 pm, based on the provincial fire hazard index rating.

Important Reminders

  • Payment: This is a cash-only event, so please ensure you come prepared.
  • Free Shuttle: Skip the parking hassle by using our free shuttle service, running continuously from 11:30 am to 5:00 pm from Beachy Cove Elementary.
  • Traffic Plan: A temporary one-way traffic loop is in effect today. Traffic must enter from Pendergast Road, follow Belbins Road, and head south on Thorburn Road. Spurrells Road is closed to through traffic (local residents and emergency vehicles excepted), and the boat launch is closed until 5:00 pm. Town staff are on site to help guide you.
