No. 25 Nearys Pond Road – Antenna Application

The Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s has received an application from Bell Mobility Inc. for an telecommunications tower at No. 25 Nearys Pond Road. The proposed development consists of the installation of a 30-metre self-supporting tower and associated equipment, including an equipment shelter to be located at the base of the tower.  The tower will fully comply with the Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) guidelines. This tower will replace a nearby tower located at No. 1573A Portugal Cove Road, which is to be removed. The current zoning for the property is Residential Medium Density which permits Antenna as Discretionary Use.  The Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s Development Regulations No. 33 and 102 requires the advertisement of a proposed Discretionary Use.
