Update to Water Main Repairs
Crews remain on site today as work continues on the water main repair initiated yesterday. To ensure a thorough repair, the service area involved has been extended.
Residents in the areas of Beachy Cove Road, West Point Road, Bayview Heights, and R.C. Church Drive may experience low water pressure or temporary service disruptions while these repairs are completed. To maintain a safe workspace, a detour is now in effect. Traffic is being diverted from Beachy Cove Road through Bayview Heights to access West Point Road.
Once service is fully restored, you may notice some cloudiness in your water; if this occurs, run your cold water taps for a few minutes until it clears.
We understand the inconvenience of an extended disruption and sincerely appreciate your continued patience as we work to maintain service levels. Further updates will be shared as they become available.
Please contact the Public Works Department by emailing [email protected] or by calling (709)895-8000 ext. 228 with questions.
