Reminder on Animal Leashes, and Sightings of Dog in Area of Dogberry Hill Road and Cayman Road
Please remember to keep all pets on a leash while out in our community and to clean up after them! We’ve received reports of animals roaming off-leash in the Dogberry Hill Road and Cayman Drive areas, specifically white, grey and brown husky mixes, and we want to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable. When moving through these areas, please use caution.
Here are some helpful tips:
Always Use a Leash – Even if your pet is well-behaved, a leash ensures their safety and respects others who may not be comfortable around animals.
Bring Waste Bags – Carry a few waste bags on every walk to clean up after your pet, and dispose of them in designated bins to keep our parks and trails clean.
Keep Pets Close in Crowded Areas – Busy spots can be overwhelming for both pets and people. Keeping your pet close ensures a smooth experience for everyone.
Respect Other Walkers – Some residents may have allergies or a fear of animals. Keeping your pet by your side shows courtesy to everyone in the area.
Check Your Gear – Before heading out, ensure your leash and harness are secure and comfortable for your pet.
We also encourage you to visit the beautiful dog parks at Voisey’s Brook Park, where pets can safely roam and play.
Found a Lost Pet? Here’s What You Can Do: If you find a lost pet, please bring them to Town Hall or contact Public Works at 709-895-8000 x 228 or email [email protected]. A Public Works team member will transport the animal to Beachy Cove Animal Hospital, where the owners can pick them up. Our team will also post on social media to help reunite lost pets with their families.
Thank you for helping keep PCSP a safe, pet-friendly community!
