Public Council Meeting Highlights; July 15, 2026
CAO Report
- The contractor for the Country Gardens Road upgrades project will be beginning work on the project site the week of July 16. We kindly remind residents to exercise caution, and obey temporary construction signs while the work is ongoing.
- The tender call for 2026 road maintenance has closed. We look forward to beginning this project within the coming weeks. Thank you for your patience as we continue to update our infrastructure and services.
- Line painting work is ongoing throughout the community, and will continue to proceed as the weather is agreeable. Thank you for your patience as we continue to provide maintenance throughout the Town.
- We’re excited to announce the addition of new accessible play features at Rainbow Gully Park, thoughtfully designed to bring residents of all ages and abilities together. A sincere thank you to the PCSP Town Council, members of the Inclusion and Accessibility Advisory Committee, as well the staff and residents who joined us to celebrate the exciting addition.
- Thank you to all groups, vendors, and supporters who made the Regatta Festival a major success.
- Thank you to residents who made submissions or attended the public hearing for the Garden Suites amendment that was held Thursday, July 9. Public input is a vital part of the amendment process, and we look forward to receiving the independent Commissioner’s report.
Corporate Services
- Council resolved to seek approval to borrow from the Minister; $702,190 for the purchase of a new Fire Pumper and $281,716 to purchase a cube van, half ton truck and a 5500 truck for the Public Works Fleet.
Community Services
- Council approved the purchase of space in the upcoming RNCA Crime Prevention Guide at a cost of $645.00 HST included.
- Council appointed Councillor Will as second liaison for the Inclusion and Accessibility Advisory Committee.
Planning and Development
- A Request for Proposals for Waterway Testing was awarded to WSP Canada Inc. for $18,378.04 (HST incl.).
- Council appointed Councillor Gallant as second liaison for the Waterbody Buffers Advisory Committee.
Public Works and Safety
- Council approved repairs to Unit #40 in the amount of $33,714.92 plus tax.
- Council awarded a contract to CW Parsons Ltd for 2026 Road Maintenance in the amount of $110,516.59 plus tax.
