Notice of Road Work: Dogberry Hill Road
The Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s would like to advise residents and motorists that Mercer’s Paving will be conducting the final phase of road improvement work along Dogberry Hill Road, with construction activities expected to continue through November 20th, 2026.
The contractor will be undertaking several activities to finalize the project, including:
- Asphalt preparation and placement
- Road shouldering
- Topsoil placement and hydroseeding
- Culvert work
- Rip-rap installation for erosion protection
Work is expected to continue through November, with an anticipated completion date of Friday, November 20th 2026, subject to weather and site conditions.
To accommodate construction activities, sections of Dogberry Hill Road will be reduced to a single lane while work is underway.
Motorists should anticipate potential traffic delays and are encouraged to allow additional travel time when travelling through the area. For the safety of construction crews, residents, and motorists, please reduce your speed, remain attentive to changing road conditions, and follow all posted signage and directions from traffic control personnel.
