The Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s is thrilled to announce that nominations for the 2025 Best of PCSP Awards are now open! This marks the 9th year of celebrating the incredible individuals, teams, businesses, and organizations that make our community so special.
The awards recognize outstanding community involvement, enthusiasm, and dedication. Nominations open Monday, February 10, 2025, and winners will be honoured at a special awards ceremony—details to be announced soon!

In addition to the Best of PCSP Awards, we are pleased to offer the PCSP Municipal Scholarship to support local students in their post-secondary pursuits.
PCSP Municipal Scholarship ($1,000)
This scholarship recognizes a graduating Level 3 secondary student from Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s who is beginning post-secondary studies in Fall 2025.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a graduating student (June 2025)
- Must be a resident of PCSP for at least 12 months
- Submit a 500-word essay on topics including community involvement, leadership, experiences growing up in PCSP, and future career goals
- Provide proof of acceptance to a post-secondary institution (if available)
- Submit letters of support from community groups, teachers, or school administrators
Application Deadline: March 31, 2025, at 12 PM (NST)
