Canada Day Celebrations


Join us on July 1st to celebrate our town and everything that is great about Canada!

Flag Raising Ceremony
Time: 12pm
Location: Town Hall

Greetings from the Mayor and other Dignitaries Singing of O Canada and Raising of the Flag.

 

Chalk Party/ Fire Department Open House
Time: 12:15pm
Location: Town Hall

Children are invited to take part in the first ever Canada Day Chalk Party come draw your best design on the Recreation Centre parking lot. Don’t forget to decorate and dress up in red and white! The Fire Department will have their trucks on Display and welcome residents to come take a tour, get a Picture and learn more about the department.

 

Canada Day Parade
Time: 1pm
Location: Start at Town Hall

The PCSP Fire Dept., RNC and others will be leading our Family Canada Day parade. Everyone is welcome to take part walk, Bike, roller blade (nothing battery operated please).

Car Show
Participants are welcome!

Carnival Fun
Time: 1:30 to 3:30
Location: Rainbow Gully Park

Come out and try your old fashioned Carnival Games: Tug of War, Potato Sac races, Jell-o Eating contest, Ring Toss, Face painting, popcorn, cotton candy, BBQ and much more! There will also be a bouncy castle to try and other Giant outdoor Board Games.

 

Performance by Kellie Loder
Time: 1:30 to 3:30
Location: Rainbow Gully Park

Juno Nominee Kellie Loder will be performing during our Canada Day festival come out and listen to some live music in the park.

 

Wonder Bolt Circus
Time: 3:30 to 4:30
Location: Rainbow Gully Park

Come watch Beni Malone and the Wonder Bolt team put off an entertaining show for all ages.

 

Show and Shine Car show and BBQ
Time: 4:30 to 6pm
Location: Rainbow Gully Park

 

Family Fireworks  
Time: 10pm
Location: Rainbow Gully Park

There are great viewing areas around the Recreation Centre and the Town Hall.
